AirLands

On the heels of a frenetic 2022 playing all around Minneapolis, and even a few fly dates, AirLands hosts Tuesday nights in March. Featuring new material, surprise guests, and most importantly an eclectic group of super exciting Minneapolis artists joining the bill.

Airlands is Indie folk, indie rock, bleep and graindulatedTM-stretched and slipped guitar, deep state cello, drum loops, sequencer, vocoder into harmonizer into microcosm into a fucking rabbit hole made of faux sheep skin. Sometimes just a guitar and a vocal too though.

AirLands weaves loosely autobiographical tales of anxiety, loss, overwhelm, the mythology of truth itself, and of course hope, into sometimes soaring indie rock, sometimes wobbly indie pop. The songs float in a bed of texture, orchestrated by a lush and lively crew of Minneapolis scenesters Dan Lawonn, Dave Mehling, Jasper Nephew and Rob Morgan. Hosting Tuesday nights in March, AirLands will be swimming in new songs and diving into some favorites as well. PUMPED! Yup, there will be something for everyone (especially you).

A Piano in Every Home

Travis Erickson and Jake Pavek of A Piano In Every Home taught each other how to make

music. Through their formative years, the duo wrote, recorded and traveled together. A

common thread of musical training, messy affairs, and expeditions through the American

West and Asia helped to fill a well of shared experience. Mark Kartarik and Jake Wallenius

expanded the roster after the Meridian in late 2013.

Kid Villain

Kid Villain is a new musical space from the native Minnesotan human Alex Proctor.

The Nunnery

The Nunnery begins with one voice, layered upon itself becoming a lush soundscape.

Sarah Elstran is an independent musician that bridges the gap between bright-eyed pop composition and hands-on atmospheric live layering of voice. Her vocal loops give us the kind of detail and wide multi-octave range that we might come to expect from a
marquee pop star, while her production decisions continually keep us guessing as to what rabbit holes her tracks might fall into next.

Aesha Minor

Aesha Minor, the fictional constellation and music project from Austin James (YYY) and Matthew Jon interleaves the varied styles and tastes of the two artists to create a vision that is wholly unique. Equipped with lo-fi drum samples, analog synthesizers, and acoustic guitars, this project creates a contrast between synthetic and organic, redefining the walls of bedroom pop.

STARDUST is the solo project of Dan Schiltz (Ruben) that creates a sound which blends elements of folk, power pop, synth and country taking songwriting cues from classic songwriters such as Jackson Browne & Bruce Springsteen to more contemporary acts like Angel Olsen & Tame Impala.

Jeremy Ylvisaker is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, teacher, video artist who has worked with John Prine, Bon Iver, Grace Potter, Bruce Hornsby, Jenny Lewis, Andrew Bird, Sandra Bernhard, Damo Suzuki (Can), Anais Mitchell (Hadestown), Gaelynn Lea (MacBeth on Broadway), Prince’s original New Power Generation members in tribute after he passed, Mouse on Mars, Aida Shahghasemi, Swamp Dogg, Shahzad Ismaily, Eyedea, Merce Cunningham dance company, and many others playing in venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall and on television programs such as Late Night with David Letterman and The Colbert Report. He has put out 2 solo records as well several as a member of the group Alpha Consumer.

For fun he makes even more art with his family and friends.
